From 10 to 14 March 2009 everything at ISH, the world’s leading trade fair for the bathroom experience, building services, energy, air-conditioning technology and renewable energies, revolves around two resources which are essential to life: energy and water. ISH brings together two trade fairs under the one roof: 'The Bathroom Experience' and 'Energy, Building Services and Air-conditioning Technology'. Some 2,400 companies will be represented at this combined trade fair in an Exhibition Centre, which is now all but booked out (a gross floor area of 250,000 square metres) – including all market leaders and technology pioneers. 2009 is ISH's anniversary year. The leading world fair has been around for 50 years – 5 decades that stand for growth, continuity and a successful trade-fair concept. In short for a success story lasting half a century.
The air-conditioning, cooling and ventilation technology sector will be exhibiting under the Aircontec brand in Halls 5.0, 5.1, 6.2 and in the Congress Centre. Some 400 companies will be represented and will be showcasing the entire spectrum of innovative solutions for climate control in buildings. With its integrated concept, its high level of internationality and its holistic way of looking at energy consumption, Aircontec is the ideal venue for air-conditioning, cooling and ventilation technology. In the field of air-conditioning, cooling and ventilation technology, green building technologies offer answers to the global challenges of today and tomorrow. Here the industry will offer its public sustainable solutions, which combine energy-efficient heating and air-conditioning technologies with renewable energies, using for instance air-conditioning systems driven by solar power. The topics of efficiency and sustainability will, additionally, be looked at in greater detail in the complementary programme. Architecture and technology as well as energy efficiency and regenerative energies are key areas to be reflected in the exhibition and the lectures of the Air-conditioning Forum in Messe Frankfurt's Congress Centre. The organisers are the Building Climate Institute (FGK - Fachinstitut Gebäude-Klima). The IKK Building Forum, run by the association of the German refrigeration and air-conditioning industry (VDKF - Verband Deutscher Kälte-Klima-Fachbetriebe) in Hall 6.2, will focus on the inclusion of cooling and air-conditioning technology in the integrated design for building services and energy management, in the interests of a holistic way of looking at the overall energy requirements of buildings. The link between air-conditioning, cooling and ventilation technology and 'The Bathroom Experience' is provided by the 'World of Installation Technology' in Hall 4, 6.0 and 6.1 with around 350 exhibitors.
